Mrs. Chavez-Cuen first joined Hurwitz Holt, APLC in 2021 as a clinical extern during her third year of law school. After obtaining her Juris Doctor degree, she rejoined the HH team as a post-bar law clerk.

Prior to law school, Mrs. Chavez-Cuen worked at the San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program. While in law school, she volunteered for the Southern California Immigration Law Project assisting in asylum cases for detained clients.

Mrs. Chavez-Cuen’s passion for immigration law began at a very young age, as a first-generation daughter of immigrant parents from Mexico as well as growing up in Arvin, CA, an immigrant community in the Central Valley of California.

In her free time, Mrs. Chavez enjoys spending time with her husband, family and friends, running at the bay, and traveling.
